Located right next to the swimming pool on the first floor of the La Promenade Best Western Hotel, Noumea, the Café Terrasse serves gourmet French foods on the terrace overlooking Anse Vata beach and New Caledonia's lagoon.

Have a closer, mouth watering look at the plates served on the table above:
This is Croustillants de crevettes au parme

And here we have Filet de Veau St Home sauce aux fruits rouges (veal with red fruit sauce)

Just across the street from La Coupole is the Fun Beach Restaurant

It is right smack on the Anse Vata Beach and has a diverse menu of treats.

You'll dine overlooking the lagoon. It is an extremely popular restaurant and is often necessary to make reservations - or wait for a table.

The Roof Restaurant Noumea
Reservations: +687 25 07 00
Serving times: 11 AM – 2 PM, 6:30 PM – 10 PM, 7/7
The Roof is on pilings over the lagoon at the southeastern end of Anse Vata Beach.

There is a hole in the center of the restaurant looking down into the water. Some friends of mine had dinner there one evening and said the fish were swarming under the restaurant. Then they discovered why - a dolphin was looking for dinner there, too and the fish were attempting to hide. My friends said they were entertained for over an hour by the frisky dolphin. Oh, and they said the food was scrumptious.

Bilboquet Plage Restaurant Noumea

Close to the Roof Restaurant, and next door to the Nouvata Park Hotel, the Bilboquet Plage Restaurant has a very French atmosphere to go with it's French cuisine.

The restaurant is normally packed during lunch and dinner so make reservations.

Le Fare Restaurant
Le Fare is one of the few "no reservation needed" places to eat on Anse Vata. It is part of the Bilboquet Plage Restaurant and located right next to the road.

Le Fare serves sandwiches and salads, fruit juices and wines, plus they have the absolute best deserts.

A traditional brewery from the North of France with a cozy tavern/pub atmosphere. A master brewer produces four excellent beers in the micro brewery and you can enjoy a "four sisters" sampling of all four. Pub-style foods from the North and East of France include the Flammekeuche - a French "Pizza" with a range of toppings.

In the heart of Noumea's CBD, the Best Café is part of the Best Western Le Paris Hotel. Reservations really are not needed, this is a place to stop for a snack or a drink at the bar during your shopping in town.

It is a street-side cafe where you can watch Noumea go by - although at lunch time very few people are anywhere but in the restaurants.

Try the garlic shrimps (crevettes à l'ail) - yummy.
